Those in the med comms industry are familiar with Spring being conference season, and the team at SV are preparing for many activities in the coming months. Respiratory, oncology and hemato-oncology are three of our key therapy areas and each is associated with a large meeting that we will be following closely. We are only a few days away from the American Thoracic Society (ATS) International Conference, one of the biggest respiratory meetings worldwide, this year taking place in Washington DC. In June, the European Hematology Association (EHA) Congress and the American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting will be in Madrid and Chicago, respectively.

In preparation for the ATS Conference, we have provided medical writing assistance for three abstracts on COPD to one client, all of which were accepted and will be presented as posters at the meeting. We will also be keeping an eye on other abstracts being presented, as we will be providing slides to another client based on these.

We will be attending the EHA Congress in Madrid to support another client and we will provide medical writing reports from an expert case discussion and advisory board meetings focused on CD30+ lymphomas and multiple myeloma.

Late summer is also a peak time for congress activity, and the SV team will be gearing up for a busy September, supporting clients in activities around the European Respiratory Society International Congress and the European Association for the Study of Diabetes Annual Meeting. The busy period won’t stop then as we will also be attending the United European Gastroenterology Week, commencing on October 28.
